Around 1916, Mr. Ramón Belart Folch founded what would become the first horchata industry (a sweet popular drink made from tiger nuts) in Madrid. In 1941, the first change of generations took place in the Belart family, eventually leading to five factories in the Spanish capital.
A third change of generations in 1981 led to the Group changing hands to the grandchildren of Mr. Ramón, with the company consolidated at the top rung of the sector at a national level.
The Grupo Solera currently has several companies that diversify their business through the offices they have throughout Spain, with an important portfolio of customers at both a national and an international level.
